does it matter?
It matters, if only to blogger. There is therapeutic value in blogging (similar to keeping a diary or journaling). Good, quality content will build traffic.
There are exceptions of course. You don’t always need good, quality content. So, let me turn a bit of attention to Brian Connolly — if not the author, then the instigator behind the strumpette blog. Yes, we know his story about his Mambo trouble and his failed publishing platform attempt.
Yes BC/Amanda Chapel boasts about traffic even though the site is a couple months old. Okay, stick a billboard on I-80 or I-75 and you’ll also get a lot of impressions.
But, frankly, is the strumpette blog making any impact? Is it affecting opinion? Is adding value for its readers?
Maybe. No. And definitely no. If I’m wrong, somebody somewhere prove it. What value has the strumpette blog added to the blogosphere?
It is making an impact because of the time people — me included — visit periodically to see the latest posts from BC/AC.
Now, if the strumpette blog offered anything of value — say potential solutions or alternatives to the wrongs BC/AC sees in the PR industry — then it’d be worth reading.
Unfortunately, it is nothing more than an annoyance and a lot of hot air to the public relations industry in general, and an insult to quality female bloggers specifically.
Tiiiiimmmmmmmmbbbbbbeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
